My name is Miles Michael Folsom. My passion for writing was cultivated during a long length of incarceration I began as a teenager. Writing was one of my only means of communication and freedom. It was a therapy that allowed me to war against the threat of nihility that often accompanies imprisonment.

The Pick of the Week is always a poem I select from one of the Titans of literature. Depending on the length of the poem, I may provide it in it's entirety or abridged:

The Throwbacks

Each week I shall post a poem that I wrote during my years of incarceration. I call these poems 'throwbacks' because they are from what I consider a different era of my life. They are both raw and wild, which lends to their appeal, especially in contrast to my current work.
