In Love with Pain

I take the pain and smile because I own

Its home, from nail to bone, I love this world

In gasping breaths with blood that runs and roams

Throughout my veins in search like light'ning hurled.

This fight: I wish this fight on all our lives

To train our mitts and sharpen wits to ends

So fierce our minds can find the truth archived

Inlaid on eyes that hold the past like pens.

Indeed, this pain is fuel to fight for nights

Forgotten long ago when 'midst the wars

We stuck our blows to hearts our own in rites

They sown to hold supremacy ov'r doors.

We must engage with self to loose the bind

To free humankind from the wheel of time.
