Your palm does hold the hearts of many people Surviving nude atop the spider’s thin web: “All hail the nameless god, this bright steeple,” As passions, like tidal waves, push. Or ebb. A steady sight reveals their fortunes high Before mighty Time, the trier, shows them loosed And topples their eye towers masked in disguise To lend sobriety to the soul soused.
