Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death

Our fathers rose, uniting spirit, to build A Nation like no other on Earth. Her name, Democracy, has rung strong thru the willed And fought to keep our rights; courteous Dame. They sweat, they bled, they killed, they knelt, alast They craft a declaration to end debate. Their minds a flame with genius, a torch in pass, The time arrived to take destiny from fate. Centuries have passed and none had guessed the sword That'd turn us 'gainst ourselves: ignorance bliss. Capitalism needed workers, quiet and dumb, a horde To stoke the fire for pay that pays for dis. We work to death to buy the things we make At work because otherwise we're taught to ache. -MMF
